Friends Ken Yu and Seven Chang opened poke Burri in October 2016.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Seven<\/span><\/span>\u00a0had just sold his tech company when\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Ken Yu,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>who brought extensive experience working in the food industry suggested that they launch a new restaurant concept serving poke and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>sushi<\/span><\/span>\u00a0dishes.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Poke is a traditional Hawaiian raw fish salad and they planned to serve\u00a0<\/span><\/span>various variations of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>poke<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and burritos. \u00a0Ken and Seven planned to take Poke to an entirely new level and change people’s entire experience with the sushi product. \u00a0At Poke Burri, you can choose from the extensive, creative menu or make your own dish from scratch.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ken and Seven combined their skills to create a value-driven sushi franchise model. Seven\u2019s skills in Information technology and online business helped the business become popular through online marketing and Ken\u2019s knowledge of food was instrumental in ensuring the food standards were <\/span><\/span>of good quality<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Only two years after the first location was opened the business\u00a0<\/span><\/span>has gained<\/span><\/span>\u00a0a good reputation as one of the best places to get poke and sushi.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Poke Burri: The Restaurant and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Location<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The restaurant is located at <\/span><\/span>479 Flat Shoals<\/span><\/span>\u00a0A<\/span><\/span>venue in Atlanta Georgia. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 am<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>9:30<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>pm.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0It is located inside the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>We Suki\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Suki<\/span><\/span>\u00a0food court which was formerly a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Vietnamese restaurant\u00a0<\/span><\/span>but now has many booths serving a variety of exotic dishes. There is ample parking outside even during busy times. Inside the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>restaurant<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0there is group seating within the halls that have multiple food booths.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>The atmosphere is simple, quiet, and cozy with a small-town feel.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Unique Selling Point for Poke Burri<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

When starting the restaurant the two wanted to serve sushi but with a unique touch different from most of their competitors. <\/span><\/span>Most places selling sushi-like Chipotle and Subways are essentially fast-food restaurants. Poke <\/span><\/span>Burri<\/span><\/span>\u00a0seeks to provide higher standards of customer service and quality food.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Food is prepared by chefs who take the time to work on the ingredients to deliver servings with great flavor<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>All food from sushi to vegetables is prepared from fresh ingredients.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There is a wide variety of poke, burritos and sushi dishes. The\u00a0<\/span><\/span>main items on the menu are starters, poke bowls and burrito rolls.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>The price for the main poke dishes is approximately $11 on average. Additionally, the restaurant has a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>box\u00a0<\/span><\/span>sec<\/span><\/span>ret menu which is a result of the chefs constantly tweaking and trying to perfect the sushi offerings. Some of the popular items on the secret menu are sushi sandwiches, sushi corndogs and <\/span><\/span>crab croquettes amongst others.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Reception and Media Coverage<\/span><\/span>\u00a0for the Poke Franchise\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The restaurant has been well received by the residents of the town as seen in media coverage and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the countless accolades they\u2019ve received\u00a0<\/span><\/span>within less than one and half years the restaurant has been in existence<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0In January 2017 they took part in a competition hosted by the Atlanta Underground Market and Sweet Auburn Market<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>where<\/span><\/span>\u00a0they emerged number one for the best sushi corndog.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0It was named by AJC (<\/span><\/span>Atlanta Journal and Constitution<\/span><\/span>)<\/span><\/span> as one of the best places in Atlanta to get poke bowls and sushi burritos. In June 2017 Poke <\/span><\/span>Burri<\/span><\/span> was named\u00a0<\/span><\/span>EACA Business Partner of the Month<\/span><\/span>.
